1/6 Seb report

Decided to give it a try on 1/6 out of SI. Dove with Look Out Below, Jethro and Bad English on Russ's boat. Came out of the inlet to find the seas to 6' and a N wind gusting 15 to 20 and air temperature around 40. Had a heck of a time finding the ledges. Vis was fair, but snot and algae everywhere up top. Fish just were'nt around. Did three hard dives and got a total of about 14 bugs but only 1 nice Mango. I only saw 1 possible shooter grouper. Full report and pics on FS

Thanks for the report. Hey, what the hell, sounds like you guys took some nice bugs! I want to see a photo or two of you guys boiling those bastards. You guys ever get together after a day on the water and drink beer and get a big pot of boiling water. That would be a good time.

Don't you get sore trying to "mount up" on one of those big lobsters??

Check out the cool Spearboard hat I'm sporting on that picture

Scott,

I was thinking we have a bash or campout party somewhere at Sebastian Inlet or Long Point Campground. You guys could come over here, we'll do a day of slaying and lobster pulling, and we'll drink and eat afterwards....think about it.

You'll find the spearfishing isn't as good as the MG, but you'll see more bugs you can shake a stick at...

That sounds really good. How much time do we have before the lobster season ends over here? I'd be stoked about a trip like that!

I want to play!

I'm sure seastalker is up for it. A weekend bash sounds good.

Friday night get together, Dive Sat, Drink Sat pm & camp, Fire pit, 8 lb bugs, slabs of grouper, back to reality on Sunday pm.

Spearboard Tournament ? I can smell it!

What do you guys think about Saturday, March 8th.

I can talk to John Hermes about trailering his 23 foot Mako, so maybe we can put a couple of boats on this.

What, is LOB on the wagon?

If John still has his Mako he is up for trailering. If not, we can probably find someone with a trailerable boat. It sounds like we'll need at least two.
