If they did, they probably wouldn't tell you.

Re: Biscayne Bay wrecks
I have been curious about this but have never really tried it.
I thought it was illegal but after speaking to the Marine Patrol found it it was perfectly legal as long as you are south of the Cape Florida/Matheson Hammock line. Is it worth it???? |

Re: Biscayne Bay wrecks
Why is it illegal north of that line? I know that line is the Northern boundary of the Biscayne Bay Lobster Sanctuary and you are not allowed to harvest lobster south of that line, but what is wrong with north of there?

Re: Biscayne Bay wrecks
Nothing. There is no spearing restriction in bisc bay beyond the state regs. The only havest rules for bisc bay involve bugs. I asked fwc specifically and was told with no uncertainty that it is fine
The halfmoon is just off the second red marker in the bearcut channel. Not many fish, but I've found snapper and bugs there & it is super shallow so it is a great wreck for beginners |

Re: Biscayne Bay wrecks
I dove in the Half Moon wreck, like LunkerBusted wrote, it is shallow but the water tends to be very murky and with a strong current, did not see many fish there but it probably holds bugs
