Quick PV Dive

Went out to PV wednesday. As i looked over the cliff it was 8:00 and i had to be at work by 9:00. It looked a little rough, but what the hell, i decided to jump in and take a look around. Vis looked prettybad so i took the small 75 cm picasso. Entry was a little hairy, but not too bad. I made it out to the kelp and found my spot fairly quickly, and surprisingly vis was about 30 ft. Within 3 dives to the bottom I was already seeing schools of 30 lb fish come by, a good sign. I was trying for a 50 lber, because last week i got a 49.6 lber. But I knew i didn't have much time, soo after about 20 min i dropped down to the bottom and saw a school come by with about 200 fish, mostly 20-30 lbers. But I waited and the very last fish seemed pretty nice sized. I waited for him to come by, and shot it in the head, stoning it. Ok, time to get to work. I swam it in, up the cliff, and off to work. weighed it on the certified scale. 39.98 lbs. Not bad for 35min total time in the water.

Luckily my freind came over after work and took a few pics with the digital camera.

Nice fish!

Great report for seabass, hope they show up down here in La Jolla like that soon. Do you ever dive down this way? I thought we met last week diving the kelp off La Jolla, Brandon, right>?

Nice WSB Brandon! (I'm sounding like a broken record). I've got to try diving at PV sometime soon.
