New gun, perhaps?

Just went down to James&Joseph today to pick up my new fish sticker. Possibly going to Catalina on Tuesday to test it out. This thing is pretty bad-ass! I got an Omer reel spooled with the line Dr. Wong puts on the reels over there and I have the Riffe Ice pick slip-tip. Let me know what you think. Pics didn't upload. Might have to wait until later, sorry.

If you haven't guessed, it is the Gil Gacula Shadow Hunter hybrid. I haven't even shot it yet, but I love it already.

I don't get it. Who said it was a Wong? The line on the reel is from Daryl.

You are stoked, have you been staring at it all night? Nobody said it was a Wong. Gil rocks. Oh I got your PM thanks. We're going to hit Bucc. and move south.

Re: New gun, perhaps?

I love this gun. I saw it in a previous post and saved all the pictures of it I could. I'm designing a hybrid for myself after it. Could you post some pics of it from the top with the spear in and spear out. I'd appreciate it because I'll be building my first gun and I'd like a closer look at the woodwork before I go messing around.

I love Gil's stuff, I just can't afford it. I love Daryl's too but alas, the same problem. So imitation is the highest form of flattery. Just so you know that I'm not copying their designs to make money. Plus once I graduate from Law School I'll probably be their biggest customer.

Yeah, Ed. Although, I am going to have to get a different slide ring. You know the way the Riffe's are made, so I had to go with an extra long shaft so it would work. Damien said if I didn't like it to just bring it back and we can replace it. I will call you later.

Re: New gun, perhaps?

Alex, if I get around to it, I will post some more pics. Not trying to talk bad about any gun builders, but the Gil hybrid is very inexpensive compared to some of the other guns on the market. That was one of the selling points for me as I am a little on the broke side right now, as well. Fruitlupes, it is 61 in. long.
