carefull coming out of John's Pass

I ran out after work to shoot a few fish and there's an old boat hull sticking out of the water just north of the sandbar/last green buoy. It has a crab float tied to it, but that won't help you much at night.

Always hug the reds heading out of JP, and watch out for those damn encrouching green cans... they've got them in line with the reds now!

Thanks LT, I can't wait to see what sunk now! I'll take a look Sunday for sure.

Re: carefull coming out of John's Pass

The sandbar is getting really bad as it drifts to the south further with every storm, the bridge tender spends most of his day yelling at boats to stay away from the bar. They need to mark it better as lots of boats are hitting it... saturday a nice catamaran was sitting high on the sand with engines lifted and a few folks aboard waiting for high tide, and the mentioned hull was visible due to the low tide. Just stay way further south then you used to, hug the reds as Chad said.

Well it's not there anymore... I moved it.

I wondered about a piece of glassed over wood that I fished out of the bay a few days before... now I know.
