gona kill me a squirrel

I got a bunch on god damm squirrels eating my fruit in my backyard, I got a pellet gun and have wasted 6 of the bastards. I can't sit around in my backyard drinking beer and waiting for them to stop by for a free meal. Well I could if it was up to me but my wife says go to work. Anyone got some help for me ? I live in California so I need to be sneaky...:

Start gutting them and saving them. When you get enough, you can make some good pressure cooked squirrel gravy.
I use .22 subsonic shorts. Sounds like a pellet gun or a little less noisy but with more impact.

I also like subsonics quieter than a pellet gun

Re: gona kill me a squirrel

Shit. This year for some reason the Squirrels have exploded and been out of hand around here(Jamul, CA).
I drive up to my place and they are zipping in every direction. I got squirrel shit on my door step and all my landscaping is all torn up, my road is caving in from burrows.
I used a box trap for about 2 weeks and was getting about 2-3 a day on apple quarters. I got about 30 of those guys and it didn't even make a dent. Now they got wise to the trap. Been a couple weeks since I reset, so I'll try again.
I found easiest way to get rid of them is dunk whole cage in a igloo cooler, they have a breath hold of about 15 seconds.
Anyone in the area is welcome to come up and hunt some.

Re: gona kill me a squirrel

I sell a product called "Rat Zapper"....look it up on line, ebay, or contact me. They will kill anything that fits inside. I sold 2 to a lady who had a squirrel problem in her attic. Problem solved.

If you are putting them outside, just put it inside a piece of pvc to keep the rain off of it. It's a great product and I've been using them in my shop for 3 years.

Good luck.

P.S. It makes a great sound when something goes insides....sounds like an electric chair

Second the jack russell terrier and mountain FEIST () . Hell, any kind of small terrier will drive squirrels insane. But JRT's and feists have quite a flair for it.

With all the talk about eating them, I sure hope that they aren't ground squirrels...
