Auction! Watermen's Alliance #1

Ok Guys and Gals!

Here is the first in a line of very nice things up for auction, all of the things I will be auctioning off will benefit the Watermen's Alliance 100%. I must apologise right now and up front, I am not able to post up pictures at this time, My camera will not talk to my softwere and I have been agonizing over it for quite some time. So if anyone has pictures of the things I put up please feel free to post them.

The first Item up for bid is a 55 1/2 Phil Herranen mid handle speargun, complete, sans bands and tip. If you look at any of Phils posts it is the one in the middle of the three. It is a beautifully finished red hard wood, perhaps mahogany, or cherrywood gun a true piece of craftsmenship. You might not want to take this gun out and get it scratched up, it would look just as comfortable on your mantle right below your 70# stuffed white sea bass!

The bidding for this fine speargun will begin at $400.00(Phil's retail is between $800 - $900) the bidding will end when the item seems to reach its peak, I will give a final three count when it is about to close( you know, "going once, twice, sold!")

Remember folks, 100% of your purchase goes to fund the Watermen's Alliance and our work towards fighting to keep our fishing areas open for the future generations.

Let the bidding begin!

I personally picked that gun up and delivered it to Scotty. Just want to say it's INCREDIBLE! I'm not sure what kind of wood he used, but darker and pertier than anything I've seen.

If I didn't have a brand new Mori of the same length I'd be bidding on this gun.

i will look for some more pics and post them later tonight
the wood is paduk (my personal favorite wood ) i originally built this gun for myself as a socal shore dive wsb gun then i told joe that i would give him 2 guns th auction off for the anti mlpa effort so since it was almost done and it was made to hunt the reefs we stand to loose it seamed a perfect fit . bands are also included i will ship them to whoever gets the gun

this gun was built to use a 9/32 shaft and 2 or 3 9/16" bands and it will work best with that setup

Re: Auction! Watermen's Alliance #1

It really is a beauty of a gun. I sherpa'ed it down here from NorCal before handing it off to John to get to Scotty. My old man saw it and saw the beauty and understood how we could pay so much for gear sometimes.

I like to think that because of that understanding he didn't give me alot of shit over dropping 650 on a kayak and another 4 and change on the roof racks.
