The Democrats, after winning the Presidency and control of Congress, have their chance to do some good for the country. And what are they doing?

But why did it have to be unknown to congress? Isn't it exactly what we wanted (see quote from article below)? Didn't the whole world know we were trying to get al-Qaida?

Well, as long as they're investigating that stuff, they're NOT proposing more worthless legislation like the Omnibus Bill, or the Stimulus I or "Free" medical health care for all or Stimulus II, or taking over banks or car makers......I'd say they should devote thier entire session of congress to that and that alone!

The likelihood of another substantial terrorist attack on American soil has gone from "very likely" to "inevitable and looming", IMHO. National security and intelligence is far too important to drag out into the spotlight, dramatize, sensationalize, and politicize for congressional bloodsport.

WWII could never have been one under these conditions. Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Other-stans won't be, either.

As far as the on-going "get Bush and Cheney" issue, Pelosi's near rabid preoccupation with it is about as perfect an example of "hell hath seen no wrath as that of a scorned woman"... Like the evil ex-wife that you wronged 30 yrs ago, she will go to her grave trying to get back at you... Pelosi to a "T"....

I agree. Let them fight amongst themselves and expose the corruption. That would be about the best thing for this country.

Last night Barney Frank was on the Daily Show, and he tried to lay the Fannie Mae an Freddie Mac debacle on the Republicans and cast himself as blameless. Stewart busted him on it. Pretty funny. I don't have a link, but I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere

I said the exact same thing in 2003 after the invasion of Iraq...next time, which as you and i say is inevitable, i hope they land one of them flying bombs in Wallstreet...or the in the "new GM" headquarters...since obviously we wont do anything to protect ourselves when our own corporations are raping us...

I guess thats how we deal with the people that waste taxpayers money nowadays...take them to a "funny" show...we need more dicipline people...where is the police when you need them...
