Paddy-hop trip with Aries Sportfishing out of O-Side, Leo and Daniel. 21 miles out, to the "181" I think? Ocean was unbelievable...flat 70 degree water, viz had to be 100'+ at the surface, light breeze. Does it get any better?
Lots of DoDo's, one school of about 50, a couple stragglers, and another school of about 15. Some random YT too. I took three shots with my brand new So-Cal Tracker II...and I took 3 DoDo's! 16#, 14.5#, and a wee-little guy about 5#. My new gun is AWESOME, shoots like a laser at 15'-20'...right up until the trigger mechanism quit working bummer. Hopefully Gil can get that one figured out for me. Regardless of the gun failure...I am the happiest man on Earth with three pelagic fish on my first ever bluewater trip. Everyone had a fantastic time, diving on that boat is great...Leo and Daniel really work hard to put you on the fish and are fun guys to be around. I will definitely be back. ![]() PS...Leo, I swear I was not one of the people who ate all your chicken!

Took out the push-rod and sanded the channel with 80 grit, re-oiled the area, action seems pretty smooth now. Nonetheless Gil is sending me a slightly better style of push-rod (round, instead of square) that he did not have in stock when my gun was built. (I knew he'd take care of me... )
