Ft. Pierce 10/3 Perfect diving conditions
If you have been reading all the posts from this weekend, and you didn't get out then I'm sorry. Because as much as we all love spearfishing/lobstering on this board we've endured some pretty crappy conditions this summer. From the snotty vis to the deepwater upwelling that left us chattering in our wetsuits in 58 degree bottom temp. It's been tough going this year.
So it was even more incredible to finally hit perfect conditions saturday out of Ft. Pierce. Went out with WalkonWater and KK aka Tink to dive in 65-85 fsw. As soon as we rolled over the side, you knew it was gonna be great. Top to bottom vis. SweeeeeT!! All in all it was a great day with 1-2 ft seas at worst, 79-81 degrees on the bottom, and great vis (although it did get a little milkier as the day wore on. Lots of nice bugs and found some new terrain to recon in more detail next time. And other than the missed shot on the Cobia by Kenny, things were amazing. |
