Caspar 10-17

Even though I had been up all day and all night when we rolled into Caspar campground and saw the water I knew I was going to have to get wet. Compared to the conditions at the Picasso event it was a lake and besides I knew there was no way I could stop Jon from trying out his new wetsuit. We decided to try the north side of the cove and found some really nice looking structure. Not much in the way of fish but we had 10-12' of vis so we were able to find some nice abs. We didn't take any today but tomorrow we will go back out and try to find the biggest ones. Jon LOVES his new Picasso suit that he got at the Picasso event thanks to Eric Sabbe's donation. He had to add 7 lbs to his weight belt but he stayed warm for the 3 hrs we were in the water and he was hitting 30 ft. Pretty amazing considering last year at this time he was maxed out at 10ft or so. Still looking for that big ling.

What's the diving like in Ft Bragg right now? I'm gonna be coming up towards the end of this month. Hope it's fairly decent...

Thanks for the report Jim.
Glad Jon likes the new suit. Sounds like he put it to good use.
