Feeling really crappy

I came from the ER after a nose bleed that wouldn't stop for more than an hour and was diagnosed with Anemia. Doctor tells me I have to stop diving at least a year and be on a strict iron diet and of course lose weight. I'm going to start a different hobby for 2010 and want to get into cardio work out, biking and paintball until the doctor says it's safe to go back into the water. I'm going to sell all my diving equipments to buy paintball gears and when I'm able to go back in the water, I'll just sell the paintball equipments and buy new diving gears. Hate to see my stuffs sitting in the closet making me depressed, so I will start posting for sale to both local and post on ebay as well. This sucks!

That's brutal Ray, I'm sorry to hear it. Best of luck getting healed up. When you're looking to sell your gear, I might be interested in one of your bigger guns...

Re: Feeling really crappy

man that is a bummer. sorry to hear about that. i hope you get that sorted out. i would recommend biking. it doesn't rely on a partner, weather, or almost anything other than you and a working bike to do!

good luck

and if you have a pair of sz 10-11 3+mil fin socks or some nice fins in that size, my buddy is looking.

I have been looking it up and rather not risk it or make myself 90%. My family agreed that it's best that I put it off for a year so I can come back 100% and dive 120 feet. Thank for trying to cheer me up.

I have really heavily used 1 pair JB Eslapez black fins that are size 42-44 that I use every dive even used these in the 2001 and 2002 Nationals and 1 pair of nearly new dive socks in black, I think it's 1.5 or 2 mm. Have to look at it to confirm

Re: Feeling really crappy

Sorry to hear about it Ray. I still owe you a trip up to the Barn. Guess we could make it a fishing trip. Recommend the bike as well, not as hard on the knees, until you crash anyway. Are you selling your camera set up?

I think I will sell the camera and housing but probably put together a package with the Tracker gun because the gun has the mount to go with it, if no one wants it as a combo then I'll separate.

Ray: Sorry to hear that you'll be staying dry. On the bright side that should make it harde for the sharks to find you. Can you tell me what the connection is between anemia and diving?

Get well soon.

The major problem from anemia is lack of oxygen carrying capacity and limitation of exercise tolerance thus may affect me with higher risk of SWB.

That's what the doctor wrote.
