Thanks, we've used toothpaste on her mask, we've also used a lighter which is way better than toothpaste. Her mask works fine when I wear it. We think it fogs up temporarily cuz her face gets hot when she sprints for too long. In fact, toothpaste alone barely worked on her cuz of that.

I'm glad you came to me about your buddy, you're a good friend looking out for him. It's too early to even know if Dana Point will be diveable this weekend. The spots I've been to in Dana Point are full of sharp rocks etc, I'm very comfortable in big waves & I wouldn't want to go there unless there's no waves.

Best thing to do is try to convince him to go with an experienced diver. An experienced diver will take him somewhere he'll have fun & keep him safe.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... I heard you guys talking about your wife's mask fogging up. I don't know if you've tried it, but someone once told me to scrub the inside of the lenses with toothpaste then wash it out, and do that several times. They said some masks will always fog even with frog spit, unless you do that.

I work until 6 on Mon-Thu. So, probably won't make any weekday outings. Fridays I get off 3 hours earlier though.

My buddy wants to go this weekend. He has no experience either. I think he wanted to go near Dana Point, but I could probably convince him to go somewhere better.
