Spearo moving to San Diego
I'm moving to San Diego area in about a week and should be able to start spearfishing soon. I've never done any diving in San Diego and I'm sure there is much to explore, but I imagine that this is now towards the end of the season. So my question is how is spearfishing this time of the year? What can you catch in the winter and when does it start to pick up again?

Re: Spearo moving to San Diego
There is always something to shoot.
Reef fish are year round. Lobster are going off right now. We still got Yellow Tail around. When that all gets boring White Sea Bass might start popping back up in the reports too. Good luck getting your first one of thoes. You better be prepaird to put some time in the water for them. If you get itchhy for bigger fish or warmer water just drive over to the Sea Of Cortez or further south down baja. |
