Bill still shooting bft!
No, not that Bill. Bill Norton just shot another one last week. I've been busy so just got to posting. Yes, a lot of opportunities and some missed but Bill put another tuna on the steel at age 77.
It was a really nice day and it was a first run for the C Hawk 22. Conditions were good and we were able to see the school at surface and jump. We had fish under the boat. So......."Old Man Bill" shot this 40# about mid-day after climbing in and out of the boat without a ladder or step all day! Congrats to him! Mike

Re: Bill still shooting bft!
Yeah, with regards to Tommy7. 22' C Hawk, 2800 dry weight 140 Suzuki. New motor, new fuel tank, new deck, full electronics with autopilot. Taken 3 times out of Dana Point and it handles well in slop and swell. Solid handling, 3 mpg, with top speed little below 30. Might do better in good conditions. And it came with a new to me house in Capistrano Beach 6 minutes from the ramp. My sister is one exit north and my brother one exit south, along with my parents. Wanted to be by parents at this point. Little Christian starts a new school in 12 days. Hope all is well. Mike

Re: Bill still shooting bft!
Thanks Mike for putting me on fish. Your new boat is spectacular good... Regarding my age. Yes. I am old as hell but I feel good. Next week I turn 78. My goal is to top my personal best tuna of 102 lb.

Re: Bill still shooting bft!
I am very fortunate. Always liked your boat. My good buddy was so skeptical knowing I was looking at C Hawks until I had him run it this past week. Very stable, good in slop. Hope to see you again soon. Best, Mike.
