Greetings from the new guy
Hello everybody. I just joined spearboard and am stoked to have done so. I live in Pacific Grove and have thus far slain innumerable perch, and four nice rockfish since I started spearing a couple months ago. I am dying to get a nice Halibut. I actually saw my first one today at Del Monte Beach, in only 4' deep water! spooked it though, not expecting to see one that shallow. anybody know if that is normal to see one that shallow??

Welcome to the board, and I can't tell you how many halibut my dad has shot that shallow from that area over the years.
