Video of an Awesome Tail Shot on a 31lb Yellowtail

Check out Tanc's tight tail shot on this slob of a yellowtail. Great to see the Neptonics Pressure Pro and Clutch combo coming into great use.

Go to Neptonics today to check out our latest gear and floatline setups.

Here's his comments on the dive below;

I had a great day on the water landing four yellows between 22-31lbs with poor shots on two of them. They were crazy skittish often staying 30-40' feet away. In the end I got frustrated and charged on them taking shots at the end of my range. Conditions were epic with 30-60' vis and no swell. The Neptonics throw flashers brought two of the four fish in and the other two I landed sans flasher (I forgot it on the boat)

This tail shot ending up being a really good holding shot but by God I was lucky

I've been using the Neptonics floatline/bungee and clutch combo for bluewater and I reckon It's helped me land a bunch of fish I might not have necessarily landed. The bungee stops the fish from thrashing too much and the clutch allows me to close the gap without putting pressure on the fish. Basically what I do now is not horse the fish, get right on top of it with the float, swim down and grab it.

Thanks to the lad who put me on the spot. You know who you are.

I shot one in the tail last season I was so stoked just because where the shot was placed. Those are great holding shots lol.

Even better than hooking a 200# thresher by the tail from a kayak!
