Thanks for your support!

Because of complaints from other Local Charters the County has put restrictions on me that I can't operate under. So as of today i'm shutting down the Charter. I'll still be diving, but not as a Charter. Just a private boat. I'll be diving every day the weather allows me. Anyone is welcomed to come along for a gas an oil share. Just give me a call. Capt. Mark

Re: Thanks for your support!

Where the complaints because you were a spear fishing charter, therefore the county put restrictions?

Re: Thanks for your support!

I was told by the County that Commercial dive boats are not allowed to use the ramps. Doesn't matter if they are commercial fishing or not. Commercial permits for use of the ramps are for hook and line guys only. It's not right and their are a ton of guys that use County ramps for commercial lobster diving but I'm not gonna fight it. If they write me a ticket an I win the hearing in court do you think they are going to quit screwing with me. I don't think so. So I'll give up the charter and just dive with whoever wants to go out. After all I moved here to do some diving and have some fun.
I could have done without using the County ramps but I live almost directly between Burt Reynolds in Jupiter and Phil Foster in Riviera Beach. I probably could have gotten permission to use Lake Park but that only gives me access to Lake Worth Inlet dive sites. Diving Jupiter wouldn't be financially available. Can't launch out of Stuart or West Palm every time I want to dive Jupiter. If I put the boat in a slip then I'm no different than the other Charters.
