Many thanks to Keyspearfisher!!! / This Board has some damn good people on it!!
Well it looks like I still have a boat!!! Man this board is awesome, I called Brian, Keyspearfisher, today and the conversation went like this. "Hi Brian, my name is Scott Childress, Bottom Dweller on Spearboard. You don't know me but I got your number from Dago Mike. Do you think you could drive 15-20 miles out of your way, when the storm lets up, and tell me if I still have a boat?" Much thanks to Brian as he called me this evening at about 7:00 p.m. and told me my boat looked perfect, no apparent damage and not even any leaves or other crap in it. This was done by a total stranger who himself has no power and probably other bigger problems than my damn boat. I owe him big for letting me rest easy tonight! There really are some great people here!
Thanks Brian, I will be calling you next week when I get down there. My wife and I really appreciate you going out of your way for us. If there's anything I can do for you just let me know. Hopefully you will have power in a day or so and can read this. Scott |

Hector, come on man, my numbers are worth more than $100.00
Hey Ben, atleast drop off the bare hull when your done with it. I was about ready to repower anyway and my electronics are in the process off crapping out on me as well. That will save me having to trailer that thing back here. |

Hey Scott,
I know you like the Furuno 1850. Bret Walley has one for sale, you could probably beat his price down.... |

Re: Many thanks to Keyspearfisher!!! / This Board has some damn good people on it!!
Several years ago Ben told us he was going down to the Keys to stay with a guy he met on the internet, and do some diving. His mom said "Are you nuts? You don't know anything about this guy!"
At the same time Brian tells his wife, he invited a guy he met on the internet to stay with them, and do some diving. "Are you nuts? You don't know anything about this guy!" I'm glad they both took the risk. It's been a pleasure to get to know Brian and his wife. And to meet Keezdiver and dive with both of them! |
