Speargun bands
Decided to make my own spear bands. Can anyone recommend sources for bands?
Thanks in advance |

Re: Speargun bands
Check out Spear America for all your rubber bands and trying parts. They have shops in Costa Mesa and Torrance. Online too. Cheers, Kadman

I purchased bands from you a while back and they had the Mako logo on them. I did not want a logo on my rubber, others may feel the same way. I would have wanted to know before purchasing. Do you sell rubber that does not have the Mako logo?

Re: Speargun bands
Neptonics is where I get my rubber from. Spearamerica is good as well. Two choices for you.

Carrasco: Sorry that the appearance of the logo was not what you wanted. We decided to add that logo so that there was zero chance that people could question the authenticity of our rubber when they purchase it. The logo will wear off with use and I suppose you could probably gently scrub it off with some detergent and a rough towel if that was needed. From the website: Warning: The quality of the MAKO Spearguns power bands is so high that there are reports of persons selling counterfeit MAKO Spearguns Power Bands. That is why we now put our name directly on the bands, ensuring you are getting 100% Genuine Primeline latex tubing made specifically for MAKO Spearguns. Thanks dano

Re: Speargun bands
The logo on the Mako bands wore off after my first dive with them. No worries.
If you get the small ID bands you will be pleasantly surprised! The 9/16" has roughly the strength of the conventional large ID 5/8". You need the special tool to insert the wishbones. |
