Cast Handle
So I built a handle out of wood and CF laminated together, shaped it to my hand with some thickened epoxy. Its designed to go in a mortise but since I spent so much time, now I want to add a top flange, make a mold and cast it. This way I can have a custom fit handle on all my guns that takes only minutes to make.
I looked some specs on material strength, looks like glass filled epoxy is strong enough for the task. Has anyone cast their own handle? How did it turn out? What material did you use? |

Re: Cast Handle
i cast all my rear handle ,handles ( and some mids). but i put a stainless frame inside the casting . you can use a very slow epoxy or urethane with microfibers , but you will need to use a vac chamber to de-gas the resin after mixing
