Exclamation Ever wondered where all the neoprene glue came from?

I might have the adress of the manufacturer that makes the neoprene glue we used to know under the name Black Magic and is now sold under all the main brand names : Cressi, Picasso, Seac, etc. Onfoy has been making that glue since 1970. It is now part of the larger company called Bostik...

It's Onfroy (SA) RUE JEAN JAURES 77170 Coubert

Phone : 01 64 06 61 43

That's the adress near Paris. No website. This is gold information for some people. You are welcome lol.

Re: Ever wondered where all the neoprene glue came from?

Good to know!

However, what I have been told is that manufacturers use a 2 part (or even 3 part) glue, such as the products sold by NAUTIGLUE in Spain (meant mostly for neoprene based floats in RIBs.

The aforementioned 2 part Nautiglue is also suitable for wetsuits but I don't know about any other two part glue meant for this use.

Usually two part stuff is e better solution as 1 part stuff...

Yeah, I heard of faster glues used by manufacturers. They are useful if you have a production to maintain but the quality is probably not the first preoccupation lol. At least one of the high end french companies used the normal glue. I don't know about the eliossub, bluetec, abbyssub and Le Roi's of this world.
