Make sure you don't land or launch from John u llyod or they will ticket and or try to take your gear.

I'll be a little south of there shore diving as well. Be safe and bring a big flag

at the start, it went from crap to zero pretty fast though. You get anything there? I have never seem more than grunt and ornamental fish at the jacks.

grunts and a 5 ft bull shark that scared the brown outta me!!!!

there are lobsters there, but it takes luck and patience as the jacks provide endless avenues of retreat

I've shot quite a few nice fish of the jacks, but the ones north of PE seem to be better than the ones in front of John U lloyd. Like Lunker said, the area is frequented by sharks, but I've shot 8lbs grovers, 7lbs hogs and muttons, and in winter gags & blacks, especially in the sand to the south of the jacks. Also keep your eyes open for large yellow jacks and mackerel that cruise by.

i agree with that too, it is a great intro dive..not deep and still tons of life to see and get excited about

i had a cool sighting this weekend and saw my first octopus on the boulders off Perry st...he was about 2 ft from tentacle to tentacle and green in to shades...he took off right when i saw him, but was very cool to watch him moving and he disappeared into an impossibly small hole...super cool

Yea, it is a great intro dive and the life is nice; my GF just got her OW cert so I want to take her there. My last dive I had a manta ray with like a 6' wing span swim like 3' under me and was doing loops; I was looking for bugs and didn't see him till he was at the back end of one of his loops and about hit me. Very impressive sighting for sure. I am not familiar with the PE jacks but I will have to try them and perhaps in the winter try the Dania jacks again.
