12 yo lobster license

Hello all, Will a12yo need a lobster license and log? I know he doesn't need a fishing license but when I got my lobster tag I got a log with it.

He will not need a fishing licence but he will still need a lobster report card.

Re: 12 yo lobster license

and as an add on top of that.....

Make sure you submit it to DFG at the end of the season as requested, im ALWAYS questioned if my son's tag is just for "extra Game" and he has been questioned "did you really get these abalone yourself ". It really ticks me off as he works very hard, so i always submit his card at the end of the season because im sure some duddly CDF guy is going to insist that i pulled an extra AB and having the last 2 years of tags for him at 2 taken year 1 and he's up to 6 this year will assist in clearly demonstrating a non windfall in game. Just my sugestion(s)

Be safe and VERY cool getting your Mancub bugdiving at this age

John

Re: 12 yo lobster license

Its actually a little nephew. I took him out spearing last week and he was pretty good. I'm planning on taking him bug diving but wanted to know the log/license info first. Do I just pick an extra log up from a sporting goods store?

Re: 12 yo lobster license

you will need his info because they are issued in the hunters name: name, DOB, Ht, Wt ect...
If you can, have him come along so he can see that his uncle is being like New Nintendo DS kinda cool. Even if he doesn't score anything this year, that first punched tag will be somthing to keep for sure.

And BTW: You still get snaps for being a cool uncle too, Im the youngest of 8 kids so my brothers (nearly 20 years my senior) tought me, I wouldn't trade those memories for the world
