Submersible Spearfishing Drone
Forget your dive gear and don't even bother getting wet, just send this underwater drone into the depths and open fire on whatever takes your fancy. Sporting value zero, but just shows what imagination and money can come up with. I could not believe it until I just saw it while researching gas powered spearguns.
A speargun equipped underwater drone capable of depths of up to 1000 metres. you will need a tablet or laptop to view the livestream 1080p camera. other tools such as a crayfish or crab catcher are available as well. Only four and a half grand from https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/twee...one/1203135362 |

As for types of BS, well there is the type that comes out of the arseholes of bulls and that which comes out of the mouths of arseholes, neither of which I am. Last edited by popgun pete; 02-14-2019 at 12:06 AM. |

Re: Submersible Spearfishing Drone
Searching on eight thruster drones I have only found this one so far https://www.boxfish.nz/rov, but this is not the one seen in the photos.
The muzzle relief ports suggest that the gun is a pneumatic gun, so it would have to be charged up at the surface by muzzle loading with a spear. Most likely it is a specimen collecting device for fish found down deep, but cannot be collected with scoops or nets. I note the drone can be equipped with a grabbing arm or claw, so that would add to it being a research tool for deep water sampling. Eight thrusters are a lot of propulsion, but given the hydrodynamic shape of an oil drum it probably needs all the thrust that it can muster. Last edited by popgun pete; 02-13-2019 at 08:59 PM. |

Re: Submersible Spearfishing Drone
These ideas must persist as here is another, albeit slimmer version. This time for 10 grand (Australian). That is slightly over 7 grand US.
