Question Looking for Good Beach Diving Spots

Spearboard Community,

I'll be in the lower keys this spring, and am looking for some good areas to either swim to or kayak to. Ill be staying on the Atlantic side of Cudjoe Key, and right now my only viable option are some rocks i spotted on google maps 8 miles from the house. If there is any spots you know of that i could maybe just drive close to and swim from the beach, that would be great.

Thanks, Caleb Northcott

No, it's just a basic pelican sea Kayak.

Look at google earth. There is some shallow patch to the S of Sugarloaf. Be careful and never spear alone.

Alright thanks. I'll probably have someone there on another Kayak to spot.

Have you ever tried the spot, is there somewhere close by to launch a Kayak?

Thanks, Caleb Northcott

Yes, I went there once and it was fishy. No idea about kayak launch as we were on a boat.

Re: Looking for Good Beach Diving Spots

Hey man, i live in gainesville now, but I'm from miami and have family in key west. I know a couple spots, all in the lower keys that hold nice snapper. if your down to kayak, Ive actually been looking for a buddy to kayak w/ out to the islands in the gulf that many boats can't get to. they barely get hit and hold some whoppers. i usually go out w/ my grandpa & cousin on his boat but he is busy a lot, and I have recently purchased a kayak. let me know when you'll be in cudjoe key, if the weather is nice I'm up for the drive.
