Oh ok, the resorts in purto galera do frown on anyone taking a speargun on a dive. A long time ago when there were still few resorts in Sabang, we would actually hunt in Escarceo and the off shore reef off white beach. Unfortunately that s no longer possible. Hope you have a decent place to go hunting in Vigan

My home is actually in northern Luzon, Near Vigan in Ilocos Sur. I do dive in Puerto Galaria. It is mainly a big divers attractions and I knopw people have spearfished there but it's frowned upon my the resort dive shops promoting tourist tank diving. I never took my gun but want to. I was there for a week in April and did talk to a few locals who spearfish ubt not sure how to hook up myself and sneak a gun on the island. I think you could bring one in just don't know what to expect.
