hey man. hows the family? Its been great since I have been home. We did some camping at this place called hurricane ridge in the Olympic mountains. Google it.
we drove till the road turned to dirt. Then drove to the end of the dirt road, then got out and humped it. Awesome weekend.
I cut my 17.5mm bands exactly 70cm long, and I think that is the maximum you can get away with if using a 7.5mm shaft. Best is to start with 72 or 74cm and then cut as much as you can comfortably load. @70cm with 17.5mm bands and 120cm of band stretch ... a lot of people find it uncomfortable to load. I would think the same load would work really well for an 8mm shaft as well. The limit you can push your shaft is much better if you are using 17-4 tempered steel and an extra .5mm of thickness. Remember that my test was using the default 7.5mm shaft that came with my Denton 120 ... that shaft has the back fin all the way back, probably at least 5cm to 10cm further back than many other shafts. The further back the fin is the more band stretch you have and thus the more power you can get.
