Re: Sexy Black Walnut Handle

The handle looks great but from my experience with sleek epoxy finishes they are very slippery when using anything other than rubber gloves in the water. I like to put a final coat of epoxy/varnish...

Re: Merou is now available in the USA

Aimrite copied the merou. Handle. Not sure about the internals of the mechanism but the handle is the same just the safety assist added & a more robust loading pad.

Re: Looking for mechanism

Steve, the reason I was after one of your mechanisms is because a mate of mine here got a hold of one and I put it into a gun for him. Great mechanism, simply tremendous!

I just need a mechanism...

Re: Looking for mechanism

Thanks Mokaction, I'm in Australia so I'd prefer to avoid the long distance call and use email!

Re: Speargun woods...

Wilddiver, over here in Australia I have used what is called Australian rosewood and it is actually a eucalypt species but it works great for spearguns and machines nicely.

However if you want the...

Re: Speargun woods...

I've used palm wood for the outside of handles before. It looks tremendous but unfortunately is like cutting steel! Also splinters pretty easily. Very heavy too but it does look great.

Re: Awesome Incredible New Gun. Something a Little Different.

If the gun isn't a midhandle I fail to see the advantage of this hybird compared to a normal railgun say an aimrite venom which has a mechanism than can more than handle 3 rubbers ???

Re: A message from Rabitech re: Mako & Daniel Hu

Since when has the Apex grip been a direct product of the Rabitech brand? It's a copy of an ARC 2000 grip made by cavalero over 15 years ago. I have a mate who has a couple of them and they are...

Re: Rob Allen accuracy

This is exactly the reason guys should find one band of gun and buy that brand in different sizes. All my 8 guns have the same handles, mechanisms, barrels and either edge or rob allen muzzles. I...

Re: rob allen shaft broke

First one I had some dramas not using the proper cutting compound but after that I got through eventually!

Making extra notches is a bit of an art, it can quickly turn bad if you are not careful!

Re: rob allen shaft broke

Marco, I regularly cut down spring steel shafts like rob allen, rabitech & freedivers (the hardest shafts!) and find it an incredibly useful task to be able to perform! Even just drilling the shafts...

Re: building a hybrid

Make sure your track is shallow enough for the mono at the back of the shaft not to scrape on the sides of the track when it fires. Also if it is too deep the bridles won't sit in the notches...

Re: Rob Allen Vecta Trigger problems

They are stainless, just a low grade cast stainless. All the ones I have been getting in the last two years from picasso are stainless steel lazer cut and never had a problem. I've got an old rob...

Re: 22mm or 24mm band material???

Now people are going to have a go at me saying I am brand bashing but any how. I got a hold of some of the new megatex rubber from pelaj and it is a chunky 20-21mm rubber. I find it entirely useless...

Re: Rob Allen Vecta Trigger problems

When you blokes say plastic mechs, sears which actually hold the spear are NEVER plastic. They are stainless steel in picasso, orca, omer, rob allen ect. The sear is the main part. I've been using...

Re: Masahiro Mori's Mean Green Speargun Rubber

Seems to be marketing to me since 9/16 inch rubber is 14.3mm and 5/8" rubber is 15.9mm

Just make your 5/8" rubbers slightly longer if your not sure your gun could handle it. Or man up, chest load...

Re: Ideal Reel

You will need a very light reel like the RA composite because the pelaj guns don't have a lot of floatation in the the barrels due to the ribs on the inside and the handles are quite heavy.
