I shoot a 20 year old compound in the backyard a couple of times a week just for exercise.
And I still stink at it. Maybe an 8 inch group at 25 yards.....on a good day.
Might want to get a book by Chuck Adams. He is an old bowhunter but the book tells you how to tune your bow and technique for compounds.
I bought a Bear Whitetail 2 70# compound in the mid 80s and it still kills deer.I think I paid around 200 bucks for the package. It will shoot grapefruits at 50 yds .Its a beast compared to my kids Mathews. He paid a little over a grand USED.Its silky smooth on the draw and lots of let off on the cams so it lets you hold a good while without fatigue. He has a slight yaw in the shots that will be taken care of this week.Shoots really tight at 30 and under.Like arrows touching tight. For a $1000 bucks it should!
