The Awards Ceremony for the 2009 Spear Wars Blue Storm Tournament series SBO Classic was great fun. The highlight for me was when everyone in the Rotary Pavillion gave a standing ovation to Rob Murphy (Headhunter561) when his name was called for his turn at the prize wall.

Think about it.........Rob lost both his legs and almost lost his life in that horrible January incident and he is competing in the SBO in May! ........all I can say is wow and praise God. Rob - you are the man!

I wish to thank all the wonderful sponsors who donated their great products to the series prize pools. We were very careful this year to be sure to put out just he amount of prizes necessary for everyone that weighed any fish to win something good including the mystery winners. The excess prizes were put in my big black production trailer to save for the grand finale of the 2009 series overall winners special prize table in Key Largo.

I encourage all prize recipients to take a moment and google the sponsor of their prize with a short thank you note. It means alot for them to hear from you.

I also wish to thank all the volunteers who helped set up the prize wall.

I know, right!? I won a brand new pair of Beuchat longblades - retailed at $145!! I already contacted Beuchat and told them how awesome it was of them to step up and put the fins (actually 3 pair!) on the prize table.

By the way, Doug, did you notice that MY picture comes before yours in the photo lineup? Gee, wonder why that is? Oh, that's right, I was top shooter on our boat that day. Never mind.

If I am not mistaken, Diver's Direct is a dealer for SS and you can order the new gun, have it shipped and have enough money left over to buy something nice from DD.
