Ft. Pierce can be Pain

Especially when you dump a lionfish onto your foot.

I was not worth much for about 5 hours. FYI, I delayed applying heat for several hours because I was on a boat, then had a considerable time in the truck before I decided to soak my foot in hot water.

I had assumed that after so many hours, the heat would provide little or no benefit. I was pleasantly surprised that after 15 min. of hot water; 95% of the pain was gone.

Prior to that, the pain (and presumably the poison) was progressing upward from my foot into my achilles tendon and bones in my ankle.

Next time use the water coming out from the motor. Is not the hottest, but helps.

We tried to collect a little, but it was not that hot and the volume was low. I already ordered first aid heat packs from MAKO... I am sure I can triple my money on them if anyone ELSE ever gets stung on my boat..

Most pain I've seen someone in in a long time. Great time with the Fyfe's once again. Can't wait until next time!

Always enjoy your videos JFJF, even with the interesting music selection sometimes

Getting stuck when I was commercial diving out of SC was and still is the most painful thing I've experienced. 3 spines pulling in a catch bag from a lift float, coffee maker water poured directly on the wound didn't feel like it helped. About 10 pills later and waking up from a brief "nap" the pain continued throughout the evening. You should've seen me the next morning diving 120' with one workable leg, shooting grouper LOL
