they're one of the best eating fish ,taste like a black bass lol
or spotted owl hmmmm which tastes like a bald eagle
they fight hard too and always on the bottom but can be taken with a bow ontop water which gets me ready for hunting

Re: pics of my catch for my cali friends

Carp recipe: Find a nice piece of cedar plank and put the fish on the plank with some seasoning and butter or olive oil (I prefer the latter). Heat the grill and burn the plank on the bottom until the fish is done, (the meat turns opaque).

now for the best part of eating carp this way, scrape the fish off into the cat dish and eat the board!
J/K nice haul. Those fillets actually look edible.

Then throw the fish away and eat the burnt plank?

Nice catch, looks like fun!

Re: pics of my catch for my cali friends

I ate carp in Japan. It wasn't bad, nor was it great. Hell, put enough garlic and lemon on pretty much anything and it becomes palatable.
