Are you ready for some football?

So what are your Super Bowl picks?

Mine: Packers over Chargers

That's a joke... you really think the Chargers can go across the country and win a game in New England in January? Not happening... they wouldn't even beat the Jets in January on the east coast, and the road to the SB for the AFC will go through the NE Atlantic area. The Bolts will surely win their garbage division, but that cross country trip always takes alot out of a team for some reason. I've read about circadian ryhthms effects + jet lag and how it affects football teams. It is significant.

Chargers play @ Jets and @ NE weeks two and seven. Those games could have massive implications on home field advantage in the playoffs.

Saints over Pats.. provided the Saints don't get owned by the damn Seahawks........ Lucas Oil stadium has a roof, they're not going to be knee deep in snow. Only thing that scares me is the Tom Brady Wes Welker connection.

Rivers has been on fire these past few years as long as he stays healthy there is a good chance this will happen.

We also need someone new in the backfield Mathews isn't cuttin it we hardly run him and he still can't get the job done. How you going to show up to Practice out of shape, your gettin paid millions and you spend a few thousand for a personal trainer. Wish we still had LT why did we ever let him go, with Lorenzo Neal and LT we were set but then we moved over to Norv Turners passing offense and that messed up everything for LT.

Because you wore LT out like a budget vegas hooker while he was there. Also, it's a QB league and Rivers is a top 5 QB. Rivers/Gates/Jackson/Floyd > LT & Neal. Matthews hasn't looked promising at all... Tolbert does a good job. The real question to be asked is why did you trade (or was it a release) Michael Turner? Darren Sproles isn't worth the money he got in free agency.

yeskaa: I am SO down with a Spearboard FF league. Set it up homey!

Re: Are you ready for some football?

I agree with you that our pass game was better then our run game, but when we play a team with shutdown corners we need to be able to run the ball. And I loved Sproles but he was getting to expensive, with a young guy like Bryan Walters returning kickoffs we can afford to pick up some new players.
Im also down for a Fantasy Football

I'd say chargers v saints with the chargers taking the title. I disagree with Mathews though. I thought he looked pretty explosive this pre-season and I think he will break out. Atleast I hope so bc I scooped him in a ff league.

Re: Are you ready for some football?

Chargers and Pats are both AFC teams, can't play each other in the super bowl. Unless you're referring to AFC title.
