Looking for a good underwater camera

I'm looking for a quality camera to mount on my gun. Ideally, I would like:
1. Inexpensive
2. HD 1280 X 720 resolution capability
3. Sound
4. Mountable (small enough size)

The GoPro HD Hero looks like an incredible camera, does anybody have experience with this? Most of the clear HD video being shot on you tube, the camera is attached to the gun. Are people familiar with which camera is being used to do this? I have some friends saying just a zip tie is used to attach the camera directly to the gun.

Thanks and tight lines.

Dont like the gun mounts. I have seen too many vids lately of divers pointing their camera IE LOADED GUN at their partner while filming. Kinda scary!!!!

Go Pro hero is the way to go! Make offers a quick disconnect gun mount so you can film your buddies safely.

Re: Looking for a good underwater camera

Mako only has the railgun mount, they don't have a wooden gun mount yet. (not sure which one you need)

I use the go pro mounted to my gun. I bought the naked package (260) and the extra mounts for $20. I used all go pro mounts...I used the adhesive mount and stuck it to my gun then used a pivot mount to attach the camera.

I usually don't videotape other divers. When I do its on the surface and my bands aren't on.

Re: Looking for a good underwater camera

Thanks for the advice guys. GoPro Hero Naked is the way to go it sounds like. It was what I researched and going off of what has been posted, its the best.

I called GoPro to ask a few questions about the resolution, they say it peaks at 1080p and 1920 X 1080!! That is ridiculous!!! Offers a great wide view.

Can't wait to use one on fat HooDaddy!!
