Seal - Double Roller (115) with 8mm Shaft

This gun was custom ordered and shipped to Australia from Kosta, and after looking at it for the last 9 months and not using it, i have to face the reality that i will probably never use this gun. Its a sad day, and ill be very sorry to part with it, but i just dont use it. It has never been wet, but god is it beautiful to behold..

I dont have many options locally that i could warrant using the gun, and having recently had a baby, time is the major problem. Its better to sell this to someone who will use it.

The length of the pull, from tip of the gun to rear loading tab of the shaft is 115cm. Currently its setup with twin 16mm rubbers, which Kosta supplied, i dont know what brand they are. I custom ordered the carbon fibre enclosing tab over attachment point for the rubbers, as i hate it when the rubber flies off on other guns when shooting. The shaft is 8mm and was customised by my local spearing shop, Fathom Spearfishing in Brookvale, and they did an amazing job.

Pictures speak a thousand words, so have a look (and drool) through them, and let me know any questions. I live in Sydney Australia, shipping will be too prohibitive most likely from Australia to over seas, so buying locally will be a better option.

Price is $1600, which is taking a big loss on the total cost i bought including shipping. This is a serious gun, think OceanBorne on steroids..

You would probably have to double check with the user "Seal" as he made it, but i would expect a triple wrap would be very viable with this gun.

I think that once you start legitimately shooting past the 1.5 wrap , you pretty much have to learn how to reshoot. Its like long range firearm shooting..You have many other factors that will determine whether or not you are going to even going to get near the fish.

I cant imagine ever being capable of shooting past 20 feet and being able to hit a moving target in the current. Once you factor in your arm length, the gun length then the range of the gun you are talking silly lengths here...I have found myself backing up from some fish, or having to hold the gun like a ding dong to get a shot off. Ive pushed a mutton away before with my fin, just so I could get him in sight

This thing is a complete freak of nature if it can poke through a fish at 2 full wraps never mind into the 3rd wrap...

I guess it was also depend on what type of fish we are talking too, anything with some size (which is realistically what this gun was aimed at) needs a lot more penetration power than a small fish.

Could you shoot and capture a fish at three wraps, probably. Consistently? Probably not. Could you shoot and capture a tuna or similar build fish at even double wrap length, probably. But consistently, maybe not. But this gun would give you a good crack at these scenarios.
