Tristate Skindivers and Freedive Shop July Species Meet

This year Tristate is working with the Freedive Shop and the Bon Vue Grill for the 2013 edition of the species meet. There are going to be thousands of dollars in prizes, multiple categories, and the wiegh in will be at the Bon Vue grill, which we hope to secure every year from now on due to its great location and availability of food and drink for the tired divers post tournament.

Tournament is July 27th and fee is 30 bucks this year, but that includes a T-shirt.

Because it is the weekend before the nationals, we are expecting a large turnout, so the competition will be fierce! Tons of prizes, raffles, a juniors division, and more. For full details go to:

Re: Tristate Skindivers and Freedive Shop July Species Meet

Some updates have been made to the tournament website. In order to get a shirt your size, competitors will have to have their money and paperwork in by July 18th as we are making a custom order just for the tournament and need 5 days to get the shirts made.

More importantly, on the paperwork and featured prominently now is a disclaimer regarding the Nationals Tournament area. It is OFF LIMITS for the Species Meet, regardless of whether you are diving the Nationals or not. Any competitors diving that area will be disqualified and face the wraith of the Nationals competitors. The area is listed on the Nationals website hosted by MA freedivers. There are tons of other places to dive, so I don't see this being a big issue for the shore category divers.
