Thanks, who ever you were...
Someone on this board once posted about a friend of his ( that is also a diver, and as I remember a Veteran ) that makes and sells different seasonings.
I wanted to support our members, so I bought One of Everything he made. ( It was a long time ago, BTW) Well, it was all good, but one item was Exceptionally good! That was his "Sweet Rub"! I have re-ordered many times and am about to re-order again (after this post). The company is; Smokin' J's PO Box 43 Wildwood Florida 34785 352-272-7829 Whoever it was that posted his buddies business, I thank you, and my wife thanks you! A GREAT FIND! |

Thanks. Ordered some. I'll let you know how I like it after I have used it.

Look to hear back from you.
We use it mostly on chicken, and it's great! On fish I use a combination of Cajun seasonings, (we eat more sea food than anything else) On ribs "Monkey Dust" is unbeatable, (again, another product made locally.) |

Spot on. I bought some as well. Good stuff. I was just searching/thinking about a dry rub for my ribs and completely forgot about that leftover rub. Doh! Happy 4th all.

Re: Thanks, who ever you were...
Justin's sweet rub is really good.
Try rubbing it onto fish and grilling. When mostly done, baste a little BBQ sauce on there too. Just did some BBQ butterflied rainbow trout in the mountains of North Carolina before our recent AT section hike a couple weeks ago: It was so good I forgot to take a pciture before I started eating my second serving: And, you're welcome, Seatux |

Re: Thanks, who ever you were...
Well, I ordered the sweet rub and tried it on steak several times. Wasn't impressed with it by itself - it was OK, but nothing special. But when I combined it with garlic salt, it really popped, and the combination was great.
So, that's how I'll be using it in the future. Thanks for the recommendation!
