Swordfish Attack!
Just seen this on the news.
A well known Australian Female Surfer was taken out by a Swordfish in Tahiti or thereabouts. Sounds like it was a deliberate attack! Looking for food or, what do you think? Have we ever lost any divers similarly? Be even more careful out there. Regards, Mike. |

https://nationalpost.com/news/surfer...stabbing-death Wild story. Italian surfer, surfing in Mentawai Islands / Indonesia, first reported by Australia. Initially said was speared by a swordfish, but later changed to stabbed by some sort of needlefish. 2 inch cut into chest. "Alexandre Ribas, an owner of Hidden Bay Resort Mentawais, told USA Today that after Manfrini was struck she screamed and fell off her board." I guess that the fish probably got scared by something and jumped out of the water, and just happened to hit her. Some needlefish can get big. |

Thanks Tyson.
That makes more sense than original story. Mike |
