Re: new fins?

When I first began diving, the Walmart special was my choice until I "learned" what i needed.

After diving with friends and asking questions, the Cressi 2000 was my choice for a few reasons:
1. Closed foot for more stability and feel
2. Long blade for more power and maneuverability
3. Durable
4. A little more expensive but worth every penny.
5. Light weight, easy on your legs

Best of luck to ya!

Re: new fins?

check out some fins that have replaceable blades when ur diving jumping of the back of boats and tank maybe falling or hard use may crack the blades then u need to buy fins all over again but if you have replaceable blades u can just buy a new blade and your done. another thing is u can upgrade as your skill level goes up to fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc,

check out the mako fins great price and you cant beat their customer service.
beuchat also has a cheap pair fins that i have used before and the foot pocket is comfortable without a sock.
omer has some nice ones also

Re: new fins?

There are two members of this forum offering reasonable priced carbon fins. Do a little search.

Re: new fins?

The Cressi Gara 3000s are what I'm using because they are an inexpensive longfin. I've been stoked on them for $100.
