Relocation Recs in Treasure Coast for Spearo

We have lived in St. Augustine forever and we are now looking to move as the area has become overrun with growth and the dive spots getting way too crowded. Looking for maybe a canal home with water access and easy pathway to the Atlantic as possible. Want to get as close to the keys as possible (wife not willing to actually live in keys) but still live in least densely populated area as possible. Per my research it does appear that the Treasure Coast may be a good option. Currently looking in the area between Stewart and Sebastian. Any recommendations or ideas would be greatly appreciated
