Martha's Vineyard

I'm possibly heading out to Martha's Vineyard for a few days this week, and was curious if anyone had any knowledge of the island for places to focus where fish may be, as well as what kind of species to be on the lookout for, as bass are off the table. Fluke will still be out of season too, but does anyone see Dab out there often?

Tog are always an option. Might try around Menemsha, I think the whole south side of the island would be to rough for any decent visibility. If you are rod n reel fishing I could hook you onto some spots or if you gave access to a boat I could give you a spot or two over on Naushon

sry, last time I went to MV it was illegal to spear BSB specifically on the vineyard, even though the season was open in MA. maybe 2007?

That's why they didn't want the wind farms, they were afraid the towers would attract spearo's.

heard alot of the richards on the coast worried about them being an eyesore as well. freaking idiots, they would be barely visible. actually would love to hear the status of those. i heard theres an offshore wind farm being put off nj and they will allow fishing off them.

Supposedly RI is going to put one near the North Rip off Block. Those structures will do so much good for the local fishinga And to not allow fishing near these things would be criminal.

awesome, pretty good location. the wind farms are a very frustrating and tedious thing. we could power the entire nation via wind if we used it to the fullest but the main thing is getting the locations approved. careful planning can rid of some of the very few negatives of them (sound which is actually a bs claim and flickering). the only issue is the locations where these negatives would not be present is getting them approved because people view them as an eye sore, which they really are not. buzzards bay is a good example of the difficulty of getting one approved in a rather perfect location. those opposing it often have a much more steady revenue to protest it while the ones trying to get it set up have a much more finite one. i truly think its time to wake up and something should be done to have them just put in regardless of whether or not people will like it or not.
