Got some loose ends I want done around the house and a few things I want and dont want to finance so no chunks of money are going into the market.I do love Ford trucks though.

Re: Financial/Investments
Market took another dipSchwabs SWPPX mutual fund YTD return is 16.49% so theres a little silver lining.Buddy of mine a few years older than me is going into stocks that pay dividends and stopped day trading.I bought some Panasonic and more Ford .Probably going to stick with the SWPPX fund and do some dividend stocks.Watching this stuff everyday is almost like an addiction.Fun at first and then sucks your soul away.

Re: Financial/Investments
I bought a Blue French Bulldog female pup.She carries the Isabella traits.I put the cash up but when she has a litter in about 15 months I get my money back and 1/2 ownership of her. Also will own 1/2 on a female that is platinum in a few weeks.Pups run around 10k in those lines. Was looking at Fluffies but got severe sticker shock.I want to get at least on more female for the kennel. My son knows the dogs and genetics he wants.I enjoy the puppies till they are gone and like the return on the investment.
I will be babysitting/training/cleaning up crap for the puppies as needed but the Kennel is run by my son. This pup is very affectionate but tries to destroy ANYTHING she can get her mug on.First weeks of training are a pain.

Wife brought a kitten home a few weeks ago that was running through traffic.Had it adopted and the wife decided she wanted the kitten.Im allergic so it got booted outside. Our pitbull gets along with everyone and everything. I have adopted several dogs, birds and cats over the years.I cant understand the mentality to dump off an animal in the woods or just let them starve on a chain or in a cage. The Frenchy is the first dog I actually paid money to own.

Re: Financial/Investments
I swore to myself I wouldnt do carpet in another bass boat. But I dont learn.
Picked up a Tracker 1600 with a 110 Johnson.Motor was pickled so after some fresh gas she cranked right up on a new battery. Carpet came off for the most part with my pressure washer.Ordered 160z carpet so now Im buffing the metalflake finish to take off years of neglect at a storage yard before glueing in the carpet. Its been in the 90s so Im buffing in the evening. Electric troller is now working with a charged battery.lights all worked from day one. Relief screw on the power trim/tilt unit is now seeping so thats another headache before she gets sold. Boat market is crazy so I should get a decent return on my investment. This boat gives new meaning to sweat equity.

The real issue is what their entire portfolio of investments returns when all the winners and losers are added up, after taxes on capital gains and dividends. That often doesn't look too god, especially for those who trade a lot. Few investors do the math to calculate their actual compounded rate of return over the years. If they did, it would really take the wind out of their sails. Most people would do far better to put it all into an index fund, never trade it, and check in on it after 30 years. Voila - they would find themselves with a 10% compounded rate of return over 30 years - far, far better than the hotshot "traders." But most folks cannot stand that boredom, and they just have to play, but play is EXPENSIVE, unless you are an extremely lucky individual - and luck is a poor investment strategy.

Re: Financial/Investments
Northstar,I agree.Im pretty conservative on the investing with stocks,Crypto or PMs.I did Schwabs mutual fund SWPPX and just keep dribbling money into that Panasonic and Ford.Crypto I bought a few years ago about doubled now but I have not put anything else into it.PMs have been stupid on their prices they add to spot so I held off.My buddy has some 1 ounce gold bars he said he would let a few go at spot to me.He bought them 10 years ago.
This guy has a stable of cars valued a little over a million bucks and gambles more than a few families yearly income at the Casinos.Watch collection is over 100k.He is into tech for cars and thats(graphite) what got him into that stock Tesla and a battery company. Some people find a thing they like and get rich. Then theres me!

Re: Financial/Investments
The little Bass boat I picked up is getting better.Someone should name it SWEAT EQUITY.Have to get the bronze paint for the motor cowling and put the hardware back on the hatches,Carpeting bass boats will test your patience.Twenty clamps for each hatch to hold the glued carpet in place.I lost count how many times I ran the buffer on this boat with polish compound and cleaner wax.
Weather is pleasant now so Im going to fish her till a buyer snatches her up.

Re: Financial/Investments
Wife has been pestering me for over a year to get another Electraglide or an Ultra so she is more comfortable.
I had no issues with that as long as I could buy at the right price and the bike was in decent shape.Wife found one local online and the next morning I went to look at it.Just had new tires, service and battery. HD Stealership wanted 12,500 for the same bike a few months back which is over NADA and was SO generous to offer financing at triple what my bank offered!I bought cash from a private owner and I own it. It was a great day because we took a day off to go get breakfast and pay off the banksters on our place.Really had no plan on buying the bike.Went by the shop and saw the bike, went back home to get out of my shorts and flip flops so I could do a test ride.Bought it for a sweet price and moved up 4 years with fuel injection, radio, cruise, intercom and a very comfortable seat with lumbar for the back.I can sell my Road King quick and break even on the money put out.
