Re: Red tide related???
I would be surprised if red tide related given the recent report that the algae has largely died off from its bountiful days back in the summer.
What is surprising to me is that they hauled the whale out of the Flamingo boat ramp. I've been there a couple of times to do some flats fishing. Very shallow area all around there, getting the dead whale out must have been an interesting problem to solve. |

Re: Red tide related???
I was thinking it was red tide related because it is a filter feeder species.
As far a hauling it out at Flamingo, dragging it up the concrete ramp would tear it up. I can't visualize where they would have buried it unless they dragged it across the parking lot.
