Broken AB Biller Slip Tip

Hey guys!

I have an old AB Biller slip tip with a really messed up cable. The cable is not functional anymore. I don't know what size this thing is but I am nearly a hundred percent sure that it is an AB Biller slip tip.

My question is this: Does anyone know if I can remove the old cable and replace it with a new cord so I can still use the slip tip? Or is this thing pretty much trash and I need to buy a new slip tip all together.

Thanks for your help!

P.S I am having trouble uploading the photo!

Re: Broken AB Biller Slip Tip

Holden,

I can't see the picture but I just googled the tips and it loos like you can replace the cable and crimp it back together as a ghetto solution. I've had that same thin cable on stringers before and it's crap. I would upgrade to some spliced on spectra or dyneema if you can fit it in the little holes on the tip/adapter.. and know how to splice rope. You can look it up on youtube, and it will be a pain in the ass the first few times.

Honestly, I would just upgrade to a primo tip.

Re: Broken AB Biller Slip Tip

The a biller tip isn't that bad and they work good , if you replace the slide ring with the inline type you can change to spectra . Otherwise you can just replace the stock cable with coated cable

I have several different type (new) Biller tips I'd sell cheap.
Got one each 067-KT and 063-KL Slip tips
also R-S-FSW R-S-ST and a PAL adapter

And one of these ( also new);
