Exclamation Spotted a large shark offshore SI yesterday

We spotted a large shark, possibly a great white or mako yesterday while mahi fishing out with Butcher and Kaltag. What do you guys think?

This was a 12-14 foot dark gray shark with VERY long pectoral fins and a bright white underside. Very thick and tall. He was also a slow mover and covered in probably 20 remoras.

Was it eating something, or were there cobes with it? It looks like something white was in its mouth? Should have broke out the mask and fins and checked it out!

Was a mahi trip so we didn't have our gear. There weren't any cobes. Pretty sure it did have something white in the front of it.

I don't think there was anything white on the shark. It was remoras and just the white part of the belly I believe. Also this was 170 feet out of SI

very close to the end of the video you seem to get a good look at the snout, very pointy. My guess is a white.

Keep practicing that aim. Maybe in another couple years you'll be up to 3 trigger fish on one tank.
