You ever try that with normal gloves?

Re: The best lobster glove ever made.
So what is it? The product website is pretty ambiguous...http://www.hecsllc.com/
Is it a magnet disc attached to the gloves? It talks about how quick movements scare them away, but this happens w/ normal gloves. I've also seen plenty of vids where a hand gets near a group of bugs and they step towards it a bit, feeling w/ their antenna. I don't really see what's special about this video. Anyone else? |

Re: The best lobster glove ever made.
So whats so special about the gloves besides the fact that they have my name but with a different spelling?

Re: The best lobster glove ever made.
If they are still around in a year they MIGHT be worth looking at but until then doesn't it seem alittle "faddy"?

The HECS meter test on the website reminds me of that time I got suckered into the hand E-Meter stress test at the Scientology booth.

Re: The best lobster glove ever made.
Thank you for the posts.
Hecs aquatic is proud of the gloves that they have been putting out and time and time again been told about the difference in diving for lobsters. Forrest Galante in California only uses HECS aquatic gloves and has caught (and released) some amazing lobsters, and down here in New Zealand where our crays are especially skittish, we have seen some amazing results. Here is a video marine researcher Riley Elliott made when first testing the HECs aquatic gloves on lobster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2AC9ZwxzRg We will also be putting out a lobster specific glove that is a dynema/kevlar dipped hybrid that is both sensitive and flexible, while still being extremely durable and of course encompassing the HECS technology. Re: The best lobster glove ever made.
I was under the impression that lobster antenna are primarily olfactory or chemical sensing organs.
That's why I've been wearing these bad boys under my wetsuit. The lobster don't even know I'm there! |

Roman Castro did one of his podcasts with Riley Elliott, a shark biologist from New Zealand, and towards the end of the podcast they talked about this suit. The technology seems pretty impressive, the price tag is just out of my range for the time being.
