Ponce 9/22
Headed out with Mike Jimmy And Trey. about 24 miles 90 ft stuff.
Vis was 20 or so and nice and warm seas a little sporty . got a nice box of fish. The new guy on the boat (Trey) showed us up with the big gag. Last edited by lgsliptip; 09-23-2013 at 09:35 AM. Reason: none |

Re: Ponce 9/23
Glad you had good viz and looks like a nice catch. That's the nice thing about a 27'er, you can be relatively comfortable even with that West wind we had on Sunday.
Ponce comes through again, the report out of Canaveral was not nearly so good. |

Re: Ponce 9/23
Its was a little bumpy on the way out but she laid down for us. Should have been a few more gags in the box, I had my chance but they are real skittish. Think the same fish out did jimmy too.

Re: Ponce 9/23
Finally got back out with real friends. Seas a little rough and good current out of the south. Trey was top dog with a nice gag. I shot a nice one too but just wouldn't stay on the shaft. Plenty of flounder and bugs.
Also want to wish Tony ( Spearmax ) a speedy recovery from emergency appendix surgery.

Re: Ponce 9/23
Looks like it turned out to be a good day and worth the rocky seas earlier in the day! How much the gag end up weighing?

Nice job lgs and Jimmy! THINKING about trying it this weekend, but could take it or leave it. Have to see how the marine forecast is. But the nice reports make me want to give it a shot!

Re: Ponce 9/23
I usually dont start looking for Saturday until Wednesday... always feel it gets more reliable the closer you get to the weekend. But I wont even bother based on your post. Can't say I'm too bummed. All day to prepare for Gator Football!
