Old Cressi Comanche 75 Upgrades?
Even though im getting a new speargun soon, I wanted to keep my old one upgraded to use it on casual dives in more shallow water and when fishing for small fish. It would also be good for my brother when he moves on from pneumatics.
I changed the closed muzzle to a new open muzzle about 2 days ago and it seems to be more satisfying. (the old closed muzzle was broken anyway) The spear is abit bent so thats one thing that needs to be changed, and maybe get a second one. Anyone that knows anything else i can do to make this gun abit more satisfying? Im not planning to spend much so have that in mind. Thanks

What is the current shaft diameter? What's the rubber diameter? I would use it with a 6.5mm rob allen pinned shaft and 2 x 14mm bands (Rob Allen rubber). Other than that use short dyneema wishbones. Not much else you can do cheap.

Good fun adding mods , welldone
Can't say what is left to mod now, maybe add a custom paint job, would possibly make the gun and reel mounting look more together.

I would put an adhesive shaft trak to it. I think that Omer sold them.

Re: Old Cressi Comanche 75 Upgrades?
Since you already have an open muzzle, I would definitely change to soft wishbones and a pinned or mini shark fin tabbed shaft. rob allen shafts are solid! or a riffe euro with the mini shark fin tabs. as much as possible stay away from metal articulated wishbones. those things can take off fingers if you ever mislead it and it springs back on you.
my first speargun was a 75cm cressi and I had it happen to me once. luckily it didn't hit my finger but it did catch my glove and cut the tip of the glove. other than that, I don't think you need to modify much. in my opinion the stick on track would be nice but it wouldn't be that necessary since the gun is so short and you wouldn't be taking long shots.. |
