All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective.

Question Replacement bands for Polespears?

What companies sell replacement bands for polespears? Are there different quality latex bands? Also, do I have to use the same size bands as the OEM? Thanks.

Pretty much any dive shop that sells pole spears will more than likely have replacement bands. And you don't have to use the same size. Just like with a gun it's really more of a preference. If you want more power and can stand to hold it with a stronger band, then by all means.

Re: Replacement bands for Polespears?

If your getting bands for your Odor or Puig, you'll have a hard time finding big game polespear rubber at dive shops.
You'll need 1/2" x 1/4" for the Odor(which he sales) and the Puig comes with a 1/2" x 1/4" but really should have a 9/16" x 5/16" or 5/8" x 3/8" band

Thanks for the info! Do you know where I can get the 9/16" x 5/8" bands? Also, is there a way to combine items in your PayPal cart? Everytime I click on an item it opens a new window. I had to send you money from my PayPal page and enter the items I wanted in the comments box.
